Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery

Hanna Mechanical have installed Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR) in many of our social housing sites. A MVHR Unit is mounted usually in the roof space of the dwelling and distributes air through insulated duct throughout the house in the ceiling voids.

There are supply and extract ducts throughout the house where the extract valves, extract the air in the room which then is piped through the ducting to the unit where it is filtered and then supplied via the supply duct where the clean air is brought into the room.

The extract ducts are normally in bathrooms/WC & kitchens where the supply valves are usually in living areas.

There are many key points to consider when choosing MVHR, some of them are;

  • Very low noise levels - essential as MVHR systems are constant-running
  • Options to suit all property sizes and types, saving you space and money
  • Compact, lightweight and easy to install
  • Fan controls designed for quick and easy commissioning
  • Full design and solution package available
  • Options for summer bypass and integral frost protection
  • Significant energy savings with very low running costs
  • Low maintenance and easy access filters
